Do You Know Where Your Ads Are?New feature helps you see how your traffic performs Would you like to know where your ads are running? Yahoo! is launching some new features that will let you know which Yahoo! partners are providing you traffic, and charge you according to the performance of the traffic you receive. There you are The Ad Delivery Report shows you not only your traffic sources—whether that be Yahoo! or some of our partners—but also how your traffic from those sources converts. Combined with one of our analytics options, you can track measurements such as impressions, click-throughs, conversions and return on ad spend. You can also filter the results by account, domain, distribution channel and tactic. If you find traffic sources that you don’t want, you can enter the domains in our Blocked Domains tool. Keep in mind that you can block a maximum of 500 domains, so pick the domains that are most important for you to block based on the amount and performance of traffic. Make sure you’re getting enough traffic on those domains to make informed decisions about their performance, and keep in mind that when you block domains you reduce the traffic you’re likely to receive, too. You can get started with the Ad Delivery Report by clicking on the “Reports” tab in the Sponsored Search interface, or learn more about how to use it in our help center. Pay for what you get This will include deeper discounts on click charges for lower-performing traffic, and potential premiums on click charges for higher-performing traffic—in other words, your click charges will be more closely aligned to the performance of the traffic you receive. How does it affect you? Based on our analysis, we expect that most advertisers will see click charges drop or remain unchanged, while a small fraction of advertisers may experience an increase in click charges. These adjustments are based on the performance of the traffic source, and won’t be affected by the quality of your ads. And, as always, you will never pay more for a click than the amount you set as your bid. Now in a town near you We’ve also updated our geographic targeting feature. It already let you get specific in your campaigns by allowing targeting down to the city or ZIP code levels, and it’s now even more specific with the addition of 746 new cities. So, if you were dying to target the good folks of Beverly Hills, Calif. or San Benito, Texas, today is your lucky day. —Jeff Sweat, Blog Editor |

I wonder if it is possible to exclude one of the partners from the ddelivery of our adds or, if not, have the delivery withing Yahoo only.
The reason is that we believe one of the partner shown to distribute our adds shows low quality for our adds.

The new changes and the add ons are great. Showing where my clicks are coming from is fabulous. I love it. I also love the geographic targeting feature which I will be taking advantage of….

I really like the new “Ad Delivery Report” feature. Thanks.
Can you also add the ability for us to vary our max bid by search partner?

Yahoo needs to offer the option for advertisers to have their ads appear ONLY on the Yahoo search engine. Either that or increase the number of domains to block to 25,000. The reality is that we, and I’m sure thousands of other Yahoo advertisers, have come to realize that 99.9% of the traffic from search partner sites are from bogus click farm sites that offer no content or value to anyone except the parasites who created them.
Yesterday we got hit from one of these sites for 145 clicks and nearly $400 in charges. From a site we had received one click from in the previous two weeks! We have a click fraud refund request pending with Yahoo and have paused our campaigns until it is resolved.
It seems any sleezebag can put up a site with a search bar on it and Yahoo will allow them to serve ads. Until they change this policy or offer advertisers a Yahoo-only option Google will continue to eat their lunch.

@ Fred (#7)…We encourage you to take advantage of the blocked domains feature in your account, which lets you specify websites or sections of a website in our partner distribution network on which you don’t want your ads to appear. This feature can be accessed on the Account Summary page under the Administration tab, by clicking the “Submit Domains” link next to “Blocked Domains.”

Love the new options. In the past we’ve had some real hurdles in determining which of the Partner sites were producing so thanks for making that easy. Also like the ease of switching credit card info out.

It is nice to see that Yahoo has finally followed google’s lead and implemented this feature. Though Yahoo does not perform nearly as well as google, tools like this can at least help advertisers reduce waste on traffic coming from partners in the yahoo network that deliver junk traffic.

I am going to stop using YSM! I expect my ads to only show on Yahoo.com but that is not true and misleading because everyones ads are shown on “partner” sites as well. Most of the partner sites are total junk and high in click fraud.
I was charged for 289 clicks yesterday and all of them were junk clicks. Adwords allows you to block partner sites and I guess Yahoo is waiting for a class action law suit before they allow their advertisers the option of blocking ad delivery on partner sites.
Wise up Yahoo, you are hurting your brand name and long term relationship with advertisers for short term click fraud profits.
Stop pretending you are doing us a favor by allowing us to manually block partner ad delivery for 500 urls.

I spend a fortune with yahoo on a monthly basis… To the tune of about 500k… and double that on Google… I get so much bad traffic from the partner network that in order for my clients to make money the sites must convert at astounding rates… With clicks costing around 10 bucks and the daily headache of tracking these criminals down and trying to get my money back its barely worth it… *when* I have the option to block the partner network my spend will increase dramatically… isn’t that what yahoo wants?

We like the Ad Delivery Report! That is a great to block partners who produce nothing but impressions. But we’d like to have Panama in other non-us market and also the possibility to block non-pc devices such as gaming consoles and cellphones.. just like Adwords.
It would sounds fair to us that we can choose to receive only Yahoo search traffic and block ALL partners. This “issue” have been reported for years now. While waiting, the current block domains should have its limit raised to at least 1000 domains and we’d like this feature to be added to ALL YSM markets.. Currently it’s only available for US/CAN/FR/DE/IT. All other countries get 99% of fraud clicks and it’s impossible to block fraudulent domains.
Just my 2 cents!
