Straight From the SourceNew site gives you information on the Yahoo!-Google deal It’s a pretty good guess you’ve heard opinions on the Yahoo!-Google marketing agreement from just about everybody: your coworkers, your competitors, your daily blog, and — who knows? — maybe even your taxi driver. Which is why we thought we could help you sift through the clutter to the facts. This week we launched the Yahoo! Search Agreement site, which will help you find out what you need to know about the commercial arrangement announced by Yahoo! and Google in June. We hope the information archived on this site will help visitors understand why the agreement with Google will make Yahoo! a stronger competitor in online advertising and will benefit advertisers, publishers and end users. Among the items you’ll find there is a blog post from our President, Sue Decker, that busts some myths about the agreement. For example, Sue writes,
You can also view more details of the deal on the site, as well as frequently asked questions and press coverage. With the facts in hand — unfiltered by your workout buddies — we hope you’ll discover how the arrangement might benefit you. – The Team |

This probably explains why my Yahoo search marketing bill increased ten-fold in a matter of days. I’m getting billed by Google and Yahoo for the same “hits”. I suspended my Yahoo account until you can prove to me otherwise.

I think this is great. My google ads have always converted better than my yahoo ads anyway. If only google could import google base findings to yahoo!

I think it was very smart to create a special site just for this topic.
I hate humors, I try to ignore them, because rumors are rumors, they may have no foundation, but even I started to ask myself – what this agreement would bring to me? I advertise on Yahoo.

On 9/16/08 Yahoo double charged my bank card account $150.00. My card ending in 0207 was charge twice for the same amount. I realize that was redundant, but I’m that unhappy. Please refund $150.00 dollars to my account.
Thank you,
Austin Belshay

Hey–here’s a thought. Let’s get something in place for Yahoo and Google to make international shipping easier (like what Overstock.com is doing). Half my browsers are out of the US, have money, the dollar is weaker, and I could double my (thus, Yahoo’s) income by having an easy way to ship internationally. Go see the company that Overstock uses. Go here and check it out: http://www.e4x.com/contact.html. If Yahoo gets an account with them, we can all share in the costs and benefits.

Hopefully my CPC will go down on Google for some of my big keywords that are cheaper on Yahoo.

Hmm. So now I will be competing against google advertisers on my long tail terms at Yahoo? Good for Yahoo, not for me.

I found a great site for international shipping! Yay! Go to http://www.ishop-america.com/, a site that is made just for international customers that want to shop on the internet from US Etailers. I’ve already started the advertising process on my site and will report back on how it’s working.

we promote our site http://www.4TrafficSchoolByImprov.com on both Yahoo and Google, Our Google conversion is much better, so it would be great to combine both and see if it makes a difference

I wonder if there is a web site which publishes the conversion rate on Google vs. Yahoo. It probably depends on the industry you are in. Does anyone know?

It would be nice to see Microsoft worked into scenario. It would bring a better balance for the verticle channel. You can get free or flat rate exposure at many other content sites.

Hopefully Yahoo and Google provide affordable low maintenance services soon.
