Sell Your Products GloballyPut the “worldwide” in your Web with Yahoo! Sponsored Search Is your company looking to expand abroad? International sales can be a great way to boost your company’s growth, and Yahoo! Search Marketing is a simple way to get targeted customer leads. With the announcement of the opening of three new markets for Sponsored Search — Southeast Asia, Latin America and India — now’s the perfect time to consider getting a few new stamps on your “advertising passport.” Using Sponsored Search in our international markets offers many of the same benefits that you have advertising with Yahoo! Search Marketing in the U.S.: the familiar “Panama” user interface, control, and distribution via both Yahoo! and our partners’ properties. Southeast Asia Latin America India — Jeff Hecox |

Please clarify for me – in order to access these markets, we still need to open a new YSM account for that market? (i.e. these markets aren’t available to a US-based YSM account)

Hi John,
Yes, in order to advertise in a market outside the U.S. you have to create an account in that market.
If you’re interested in advertising in markets outside the U.S. and you are a U.S.-based advertiser, we suggest you contact Customer Solutions (866-924-6676 or through the support center link in your account) and we can help you through that process.

I have tried to use Yahoo for markets outside the U.S. Could you have made it any more difficult? Try advertising in Mexico… you cannot use American Express (though you can on the US and the other international accounts). Try advertising in Canada… not if you don’t put it in Francois (but that’s not explained up front). UK was down for a while, but nonetheless, I went through the setup process how many times? Typical of Yahoo… it couldn’t be any more difficult or disasterous. There has to be a way to make it simpler. MSN is simple; so is Google. I’m giving up on Yahoo.
